The HSG TALENTS Conference is a student initiative and as the official recruitment event of the University of St. Gallen, it brings together over 100 companies and more than 1,700 students each year. The conference is organized by a team of six students under the direction of Career & Corporate Services (CSC).
The HSG TALENTS Conference offers students of the University of St. Gallen a unique opportunity to get to know representatives of more than 100 companies and to make initial contacts with potential employers. At the same time, it gives companies the opportunity to recruit new talented students for their company as part of the event.

Opening Panel & Location Management
After I graduated from the Gymnasium Oberwil with my Matura in Economics and Law, I completed my obligatory service in the Swiss Armed Forces. I decided to study at the University of St. Gallen (HSG), as the course is taught with a praxis orientated nature. Additionally, the HSG offers a vast variety of possibilities to engage yourself in extracurricular activities. That is why I applied myself at the HSG TALENTS Conference, as they offer the possibility to use the learnt material in a practical way. As the studies can be rather mentally engaging I make use of the different sports offered by the University, in particularly Swimming. I am excited to start the new year and to be a team member of the HSG TALENTS Conference 2019 which gives students the possibility to get to know different companies from all possible branches, in different ways.
After I graduated from the gymnasium with focus in economics and law in Trogen AR, I started working at the Notenstein La Roche Privatbank AG and therefore gained my first valuable work experience. Following my military service I travelled through Africa where I was studying languages, working for humanitarian projects and getting to know various new cultures. Currently I am studying Law and Economics at the University of St. Gallen in the third semester. As a contrast to my studies I play soccer as well as handball at my hometown club. For myself the Conference is an ideal opportunity to transfer the theoretical knowledge gained in class into early working practice. Thus, I am very much looking forward to an interesting Conference which is an opportunity not only for us but all the students to get in contact with various employers and accordingly expand their own network.
Naturalsponsoring, Staff & Lounge
After graduating from the Gymnasium with focus in law & economics I served my obligatory Military service. Thereafter I began to study at the University of St. Gallen (HSG) and currently in the third semester in my Bachelor in Business Administrations. In addition to my studies, I am a member of the local government of my hometown, meanwhile as Vice President, alternatively I also like to do a large variety of sports. Last year I had the chance to get to know the HSG TALENTS Conference as a volunteer. From the start I was fascinated by the possibilities the conference offers to students and companies. With this inspiration I want to seize the opportunity of joining the Talents Conference to combine the theoretical academic knowledge gained in class with practical working experience while helping other students to improve their skills and to grow their network.
Currently I am studying International Affairs in the third semester at the University of St. Gallen (HSG). In 2016 I graduated at high school in St. Gallen with focus in Spanish. Then during a gap year, I served the obligatory military service before I started working for the Swiss Red Cross in the acquisition of private donors. I spent the following five months in Canada and the United States of America to improve my English skills by visiting a language school and graduating with the Advanced Certificate. Furthermore my cultural knowledge and oral skills were enriched while travelling through North America. Besides the studies I appreciate the various possibilities that the sports program of the university offers. Besides that I love to be out in the nature and it is my passion to cook in my free time. The volunteering at last year's Conference convinced me of the quality of the event and was my inspiration to apply as a team member. For me the HSG TALENTS Conference is an opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge from the studies in practice and gain initial experience. I am looking forward to being a part of the organizing team and hope to extend my network at university and with company representatives. Furthermore I hope to support others in doing so.
Marketing & Communication
After completing my high school diploma with a focus in Spanish, I passed my compulsory military service. Besides I graduated from the Officer’s School of the Swiss Armed Forces and then completed my entire service that I could afterwards dedicate myself to my studies and later on to my professional life. In the summer of 2016 I started my studies at the University of St. Gallen in this vein I can complete a very modern and practice-oriented education in the field of economics. The university not only convinced me by its great reputation but with its outstanding extracurricular offers. I’ve decided to help organize the HSG TALENTS Conference to try and help other students to get the most out of this great event.
Marketing & Communication
After graduating from grammar school with focus in biology and chemistry in Heerbrugg SG, I directly began my studies at the University of St. Gallen. Currently, I am in the third semester of my bachelor in business administrations. Alongside my studies, I have been working in the family business for about five years. There, I often get the chance to put what I have already learned in my studies into practice. Besides that, I also tutor some students and work as a temporary employee at the Migros Ostschweiz. In my free time I mostly enjoy doing sports, reading, cooking or meeting up with friends and family. I believe the HSG TALENTS Conference for me to offer a great chance to gain experience, especially in project organization and in my case in marketing and communication, which I place high value on. At the same time, I am looking forward to the conference making it possible for the students to get in touch with different companies and hopefully to grow their own network once again this year.
