The HSG TALENTS Conference is a student initiative and as the official recruitment event of the University of St. Gallen, it brings together over 100 companies and more than 1,700 students each year. The conference is organized by a team of six students under the direction of Career & Corporate Services (CSC).
The HSG TALENTS Conference offers students of the University of St. Gallen a unique opportunity to get to know representatives of more than 100 companies and to make initial contacts with potential employers. At the same time, it gives companies the opportunity to recruit new talented students for their company as part of the event.
The HSG TALENTS organisation team is supported by the CSC and the Advisory Board.
I am currently studying Business Administration in the 3rd Semester at the University of St. Gallen (HSG). After completing the matura in December 2014, I gained my first practical experience as an assistant of a member of the Executive Board in a private hospital in Basel. After that I did my National Service as a Platoon Leader in the French-speaking part of Switzerland, till I started my Studies in St. Gallen in September 2016. As a respite of my Studies I like to go to the gym or use the variety of sport activities at the University. As a volunteer at the HSG TALENTS Conference 2017 I was impressed of the variety of this project. I see the Conference as an ideal opportunity to transfer the theoretical knowledge gained in class into practice and also appreciate the contact with the different students and companies.)
Marketing & Communication
After I graduated from the gymnasium with focus in law and business in Winterthur, I started working at the UBS where I gained my first valuable work experience. Currently, I am studying Business Administration at the University of St. Gallen (HSG) in the fifth semester. As a contrast to my studies, I play in a small Theatre Club and I like to play Tennis with friends. As I participated in the last years’ HSG TALENTS Conference, I was impressed by the quality and versatility of the careere fair and the program. That was my motivation, to be a part of the organizing comittee. In addition, I am looking forward to use my theoretical knowledge to gain practical experience and to be part of a team that generates great value for my fellow students.)
Naturalsponsoring, Staff & Lounge
After graduating from Highschool with a major in art, I had the opportunity to broaden my cultural, linguistic and personal horizon through two longer stays in South America and in London. Before starting my studies in St. Gallen I completed two extremely valuable internships; at radio Energy as well as at the firm Enzler AG. These working experiences brought me to the University of St. Gallen, where I am currently in the third semester of my bachelor's degree with a major in International Affairs. I am very happy to be part of the HSG TALENTS Conference team of 2018, because we have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in an extracurricular framework of the university. The HSG Talents Conference suits me very well, since we are able to apply theoretic knowledge into practice and to establish ties between companies and students.)
Marketing & Communication
Currently I am studying Business Administration with further training Business Education in my fifth semester at the University of St. Gallen (HSG). After I graduated from high school I gained my first work experience during an internship in Marketing at Nestlé Switzerland. I also had the possibility to refresh my language skills throughout multiple au pair commitments in America and a hotel internship in Zanzibar. After that gap year, I started my studies at the HSG with new energy. Beside my passion for different cultures and countries I love to get creative in playing the piano, cooking with friends and photographing. I am excited to be part of the organizing committee of the HSG TALENTS Conference. Here I can get involved with an extra-curricular project. In addition, I consider networking with enterprises and students as a valuable experience and I see it as a chance to be part of the organization of a great event.)
Following the completion of my studies at the bilingual Matura – with particular focus on Economics & Law – I then completed compulsory military enlistment in the French speaking part of Switzerland. After completing a summer internship at a St. Gallic law firm, I am currently studying Law in my third semester at the HSG. My hobbies include sporting activities – particularly around the sports offered by the university – spending quality time with friends, as well as local commitments to a political party in the city of Berne. As an ambitious and dedicated person, I would like to fully ensure that I utilize the opportunities the university has to offer. I primarily plan on doing this by thoroughly immersing myself in the extracurricular aspects. The HSG TALENTS Conference 2018 offers the ideal platform for me to take on this objective. By incorporating both theoretical and practical elements, this conference provides unique opportunities for not only myself but all students studying at this university.)
Opening Panel & Location Management
Originally, I am from Germany but I grew up in the beautiful city of Lucerne. There, I graduated from high school with a focus on Business and Law. All my life I have been fascinated by other cultures and therefore decided to take a gap year. I used this as an opportunity to travel throughout Asia and study Mandarin. After that, I started my bachelor degree at the University of St. Gallen (HSG) in International Affairs, where I am currently in the 5th semester. Besides my studies, I enjoy the great variety of clubs provided at our university where I am active in the art association. Furthermore, I like to organize cooking evenings together with my friends. One aspect I consider highly at our University is the career guidance we are given which I am proud to be able to support. I very much look forward to the next year and being part of the Team for the HSG TALENTS Conference 2018.)
